The cook behind the unique food experience
Unique food experience in north Norway is presented by our cook Sandra Degerstrøm. She has long experience in the industry. Among others she has worked as an apprentice for Tor Emil Sivertsen, Varangerkokken. Who is a well known cook in north Norway. She has also won VM in seafood at the north Norwegian championship in 2015. The last seven years she lived in Tromsø. Now she’s ready for new challenges at Jakobselvkaia. Here she will create unique food experiences for our guests.
Sandra finds here inspiration in good ingrediens. In north Norway we are lucky to have the best of fish and meat. Her favorite dishes are local everyday food with a personal touch, witch will make every dish unique. The meny will follow the seasons in Varanger. Her former teacher Varangerkoken will also be joining us from time to time.
